The International Business Association has just completed the Halal Bihalal Event which was held in 12 countries simultaneously, this event was held on May 5 last week and was the third time this event was held. Held live in each country at different locations, this event succeeded in bringing together migrant workers from 12 different countries simultaneously, with an online Zoom connection that allowed participants to see and interact with each other in real-time, fostering a spirit of brotherhood and cross-border cooperation.
This event aims to increase unity, solidarity and celebrate the spirit of Eid al-Fitr and strengthen relations between migrant workers who are the backbone of the economies of many countries. IBA invites embassies, ministries of labor, and distinguished officials, including the Vice President, and Vice President-elect to join the event with specially recorded speeches. This event is a platform for sharing experiences, conveying hopes, and strengthening friendship among all participants.
During the event, participants had the opportunity to interact via the Zoom platform, allowing them to meet and greet fellow migrant workers from various parts of the world virtually. In addition, this event featured inspiring speeches from distinguished guests and Chairperson Mrs. Shan Shan, who was present directly at the event location and connected virtually with the 12 participating countries.
Mr. Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ma’aruf, expressed his appreciation to IBA for continuing to fight for the rights of Indonesian Migrant Workers. The Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Mrs. Ida Fauziyah, also expressed her appreciation to IBA for holding its commitment to continuing to be a partner of the government in providing attention and empowering Indonesian Migrant Workers. Representatives of the Indonesian Consulate General from several countries also attended and greeted participants from 12 countries and thanked IBA for the Halal Bihalal event held today.
